Mine would have to be Murtagh as well. Anyone else notice he was missing his sword in the movie? It was really awkward when he had to grab Zar'roc from Eragon to save his life. At least he was pretty looking.

I too would vote for Murtagh, but....
BROM IS COOOOLER.
If brom and Murtagh were to *properly* meet, or if Eragon could recieve a *proper* training from brom, then Murtagh would have fared no better against Eragon than a wet noodle!
Anyways... Brom had to be a dolt and sacrifice himself... What an idiot.

I know...there is no way that Eragon was worth saving. And they made Murtagh seem like Legolas in LotR...where he just used a bow and arrow to fight. I love Brom too...he's my second favorite character. *huggles*

... and what's wrong with bow and arrows? Being compared to Legolas is a mortal insult, but bow an' arrows are just good sense.

Brom and Murtagh are the ONLY characters in inheritance. They're the only people with flaws. Characters need flaws, and conflict. And the first thing Paolini does is kill off one of the only two actual characters in the book. Lovely.

Lol. Legolas wasn't so bad in the books, but they made him a fop in the movies. Anywho... Yeah. Murtagh is my favorite type of character. The good guy who turns bad, but it's not his fault and he's still good at heart. Only problem is.... those characters usually only turn good again at the last second and end up dying. *cries* I hope it doesn't turn out that way again...

Does anyone else find it awkward that Eragon isn't anyone's favorite, even though the series is about him? 
Anyway, I'd have to say Murtagh.
I liked how his character had 'issues', yet wasn't a complete jerk about it.

Yeah...but it's really because CP made him such a loser Gary Stu, that no one likes him. But more often than not, I don't like the main character in a book/movie. Most of the time, those characters are good in the beginning, turn bad, and then go back to good....I don't mean for it to be like that...It just happens. Like with Murtagh, Darth Vader, Copper...(from the Fox and the Hound, don't laugh at me, that's truely my favorite Disney movie.)

It's probably because the author creates them more mysteriously or just makes the sub-characters more interesting, because there is only so much you can do with the main character, and the sub-characters are like an extension of that...if that makes sense O-o
And don't feel bad for liking the Fox and the Hound, there is no shame in loving Disney!

Oh well i hate Murtagh he is to oh i am the best i can do whatever i think i can I absolutly LOVE! Eragon. So Eragon gets my vote and my secound fave would have to Be Saphira or Arya.
