character:
name:
Arya Drottningu
age:
aprox. 100
gender:
female
race:
elf
allegiance:
Elves, Varden
description:
Tall and slim, Arya has long black hair that is usually worn straight down her back and green eyes. Her skin is smooth and evenly toned with no blemishes or freckles. Her ears are pointed like all people of her race and she usually dresses comfortably. On her right shoulder she has the Yawe tattooed in indigo ink. She is a skilled fighter with sword, bow, and magic.
She has a quiet elegance about her that garners her respect, not only among her own people, but among others. Though she has made it clear that she has no desire to take up the throne after her mother, she still holds herself as a princess would, even in the midst of battle. She is strong willed and determined, loyal and caring.
personality:
To humans she appears calm and sure of herself, showing little emotion, even in argument or fight. By elf standards, she is considered to be headstrong and fiery, set on following her own path. She can be stubborn and set in her ways... and yes, a bit haughty in the belief that the elves are the superior race.
She loves a good debate but has little tolerance for sloppy or illogical thinking. She is sure of herself and will do what she feels is the best course of action, not caring what anyone else thinks, and will worry about consequences later when they arise. Her greatest enjoyment is fighting for what she believes is right. Immature behavior annoys her.
history:
Arya is the only child of Queen Islanzadi and King Evandar. She grew up in the elven capital Ellesmera, located in the depths of Du Weldenvarden. Her father was killed when she was very young.
She grew up under her mother's care as most royals do, with servants and tutors, her days filled with lessons on all she needed to know about becoming the next Queen of Elves. She often got into fights with some of the other young elves, to which her mother would look at her disapprovingly. All elves, even the royalty should know about magic, swordsplay, and archery, but roughhousing was not something a princess should do.
Arya did well in her lessons, excelling in the arts of battle and her greatest longing was to be free of the castle walls, fighting the injustices that threatened the world around her. Many told her that the Elves were safe and they should let the humans work it out for themselves, but Arya knew better.
At the age of about 30 and against her mother's will, she became the Elves ambassador to the Varden. Her mother all but disowned her because of this. As ambassador, her main duty was to carry an unhatched dragon egg back and forth between the Elves and the Varden in the hopes that it would hatch for one of the children. It was her duty to protect the egg as it was the only hope to bring back the Riders.
While riding in the forest during one such trip, she and her companions are ambushed by Durza and some Urgals. Her companions are killed and before she is captured, she manages to magically send the dragon egg away, hopefully to a safe location in the Spine.
family:
Arya is the the only child of Islanzadi, queen of the elves, making Arya next in line for the throne.
Her father, King Evandar, was murdered by the Forsworn in the battle of Ilirea when Arya was very young.
other:
No, she does not have a thing for Eragon. At least not yet.
rp sample:
As often as she made this trip, she would never see them as standard. Ferrying the stolen egg back and forth between the Varden and Ellesmera was as dangerous this time as it had been the first time. One of these days, it had to hatch. It had to find someone it liked eventually, didn't it?
She checked on it again, for the hundredth time, and Faolin commented on it. "I'll carry it if you'd rather," he told her, but they both knew that wasn't possible. The egg was her responsibility and she tucked it closer to her as she told the horses to pick up the pace a bit.
"It gets narrow here," Glenwing mentioned and they all knew that this part of their path was probably the most dangerous. Enemies could be lurking in the forest, well hidden by the brush.
"Move forward," she told him and he obeyed, letting Faolin fall back to the rear. She could sense something was different this time. Something so well hidden that even the horses couldn't sense it yet. The wind picked up a little and she prompted them again to move faster. "We need to get through here quickly. Something is not quite right."

{apologies for the god-moding. I only did it because they're NPCs and I figured it was okay here since they would die in the next sentence anyway}
