I personally think that Murtagh will die, either because Galbatorix kills him for turning back to the good side, or by idiot Eragon because he believes that Murtagh is truely evil, but I seriously hope not, because then I will hate Christopher Paolini for killing off the best character in the trilogy.

*trickles on* Hey, I'm new =3 Hm. I truly think that Murtagh will live. If you remember Eragon's vision there was a man standing on a beach while the people got on the boat to sail away, I think to the Elves' lands. I predict that perhaps the elven lady and the man getting on is Arya and Eragon. Perhaps the green egg shall hatch to Arya, That would be the Two dragons in the sky, following their riders away.
Perhaps Thorn dies, and Murtagh is left alone, or perhaps is set to some task and he feels it's his responsibility to stay.
And Kaida, the Family member that Betrays him I believe is the incident with Murtagh and Eragon.
I really hope Murtagh doesn't die either *snuggles* He ish the best.

Hmm...I think that the person left on the shore is Roran...Because wouldn't he be really sad as well if Eragon left? Also, I'm almost 99.999999999999% sure that Arya will be the Rider of the green dragon, so I agree with you on that part Arry.

Indeed. It seems fitting that an elf might get a green dragon too but, I think it would be smart of Paolini to balance the odds for Eragon. I mean, What happened on the Burning Plains, things did NOT look good for Dear Eragon xD

Just thought I would point this out: the one thing sadder than killing the only half-decent character (Murtagh, dolt,) would be if the last dragon rider isn't female. Because that would be dumb. And the last dragon had better be female too, or there's gonna be inbreeding. ^^
AryaxEragon is so... ew.

I don't like Eragon and the Arya couple either xD Actually, the last dragon should be male. It creates Horrible contraversy with Saphira would be the only female between the two males.
It's almost no doubt Arya will be the last rider...Unless Paolini brings in another character.

It's Glaedr, and I completely agree with you Howl on the AryaXEragon thing. I mean, a Mary Sue mixed with a Gary Stu? Ew, I would hate to be one of their kids...And I seriously don't know how the Saphira being the only female dragon thing is going to work out either. What happens if her eggs are all male? They'd seriously need to find some wild dragons someplace.

Not fun.
Less fun than AryaxEragon.

Not fun at all...I seriously think that I will puke if at the end of Book III, it turns out to be: AryaXEragon, (Arya's)Green DragonXSaphira. Seriously. How often would that turn out to be exactly right?
