"I don't care if she is breathtakingly Beautiful! USE HER AS YOU WILL!" Durza's face was contorted with rage, but the officer in front of him had a mask of obedient willingness. Durza shook his head.
"look, I realize that she is beautiful, but i need her to be worn out and defenseless when I try to extract information from her!" Durza's fist slammed the table behind him, merely inches away from the drugged, poisoned, wounded and almost helpless elf that was strapped to it. He looked at the elf with disgust. she had refused to answer his questions, and was proving to be very difficult. shaking his head, he sighed.
"I will be leaving, and when I return, I expect her to be so weak that the information will almost be willingly extracted. got it?"
The soldier nodded gravely, and Durza waved the man's forming question away. "I don’t care what you do, just do it."
He snarled silently as he left the room. okay, it may only have been four days... but I haven’t even extracted her name yet! this is madness! No wonder they chose her to be the Egg barer... I wonder what the meaning of her tattoo is. not that it will matter once she is disposed of.... cursed elf...
His thoughts were broken off by a page rushing up to him. The young boy saluted, which Durza returned with a stare. "What do you want."
The boy flinched, as Durza's tone wasn’t very warm, but he bravely held out a note with the royal seal. Durza snatched it away, dismissing the young boy without so much as a thank you. it was from Galbatorix... and it was extremely important. Messages from the Vardenhad just recently een intercepted, messages that were headed to Carvahall. They were being sent on the account of the egg going missing, telling a certain man that the egg would be headed his way. Durza grinned, as the paper told him the name of the elf. Arya... hmmm.... I will use this new secret to my advantage...
he turned the letter over, and it read; If the elf proves difficult, bring her to me. I will break her in less than a few minutes.
P.S. I want more urgals. the ranks of my army need to swell... we cant have any uprisings while the egg search is going on...
Durza crumpled up the letter and threw it into the nearest fireplace. By my lack of blood... I want to learn the information before he does... it would give me leverage.... the last thing I want is to go link Urgal spirits... The shade frowned to himself, picking up his traveling cloak.
Turning to a man who had just entered the room with a report in hand, he shook his head. "I will be leaving soon, I'm going on a recruiting mission. The king wants more Urgals..." he stepped closer to the man, who remained still and silent. "Break the elf's defenses, but do not maim her or you all will know what it is like to have your skin peeled off." The man paled, and Durza knew that his message had taken it's effect.
Nonetheless, the captain of the guard saluted, still pale, and opened the door as Durza walked out, cursing elves, humans and urgals alike. Though he cursed them, Durza smiled, thinking of how much fun he could have with the next installment of brutes...
Once outside of the prison, Durza mounted his horse, slipping into shadows of the dawn, wishing he could join the hunt for the egg instead.
