Nienna nodded, then remembering the man was blind replied, "I agree." She looked at the man who had questioned them. "Why do you question us, when it should be you that avoids questioning?" She saw a guard nod his head to them, and led Xept past the other man, into Teirm.
"I advise that you take shelter as well, stranger, this type of weather is unpleasant for both you and your mare." She patted Nadé, who had been sniffing the other horse.

Tripudio looked over at the two, as they shuffled into Teirm. He was a wandering bard, he didn't stay in one place long. "Farewell then my fellow humans." He said briefly before jumping back on Losnaoro and galloping away into the large blanket of fog. His destination? He didn't know. He didn't want to go back into Teirm. Losnaoro feared the storm that approached, and he preffered not to upset the mare.

Xepte shook his head as the man rode off. "well, at least we are in the city. I dont envy him... he is going to have it rough if he gets caught in that storm."
Once he and the young woman entered the city, he turned and bowed. "thank you, uh..." Straightening, he tightend the strip of cloth around his head. "What is your name again? I dont think I-" He broke off his statement, turned in the direction of the center of the city, and scanned around.
"There is a man looking in our direction... Wait- Make that two. they seem to recognize you... or me? gah.. I can't tell... they are over there, where there seems to be a large board with papers on it." Turning to the young woman, he cocked his . "Are you famous enough to have made it onto a poster? because I know I just came out of the urgal teritories..."
Turning again, he mentally examined the pair. "luckily, I dont think they are too heavily armed..."

'No...no....no' thought Nienna, as Xept examined the situation. "Um..." she started, feeling her heart begin to beat a little faster.
'What now?' she thought, examining the situation.
"Maybe we should avoid them..." she whispered, looking away from the individuals who recognized her from the bounty poster.
"And my name is-" she stopped, when Nienna was nudged by someone on the other side of her.
"Ah...you look mighty like the lil girl on this here poster..."
Nienna couldn't believe her luck. "I believe you are mistake..." she responded, changing her voice to a slightly different accent then she already possessed.
'I'm just having a great today, ain't I?' she half asked herself, looking away from the man who had questioned her.

Xepte sighed, directing his words at the man who had spoken. "She isn't the one. She merely looks like the one you speak of." Nudging the girl, he leaned over and whispered in her ear. "can't you at least put up a hood or something? No offense, but it would make our progress a little easier. If you put on a mask... something to hide the most recognizable part of your body..."
He scanned the area again, speaking his thoughts aloud. "We need to get out of the public eye. Hmmm... Let's head to the Rose and Thorn... good food... Last time I went there it was quite classy... But that was over a hundred years ago... and I could see back then... It would be better then standing around idly..."
Laughing, Xepte shrugged. "the only problem is that i have no idea where it is!" Shaking his head, he turned to the young girl, head cocked to the side. "You still haven't told me a name. Make one up if you must, or just display it in your mind where i can see it clearly without delving too deep."

Nienna turned away from the men and pulled up her hood. 'My name is Nienna.' she thought, leaving her mind open for Xepte.
"I can help you find that place, to see if it is still around." responded Nienna to his question about the Rose Thorn. 'Wow...over one hundred years...' she thought, realizing that he dwarfed her young age by more than she originally thought.
They walked through Teirm, in search of a place to eat and possibly rest. "The Rose Thorn...now that's a one in a million chance." she said, seeing the old worn sign in front of a homey looking place.
"I guess they get good business." she shrugged.
Now that her hood was concealing her face, she wasn't as frightened of everyone's gaze as she was a few moments ago. Her hood drooped slightly by the front of her face. So even when someone looked directly at her, all they saw was the dark gray hood of her cloak.

Xepte inhaled deeply, bringing the familiar scents of terim into his body. With those scents came an onslaught of images. A cheerful young maiden holding the hand of a much younger Xepte floated to the top, and for a moment, Xepte was in danger of delving into these memories and leaving all else behind. A name cut him of however, and he was reluctantly brought back to the present. Nienna... I have heard that name somewhere... My name is Xepte. I think i can trust you with the fact that I am not in any way an elf and yet I'm over 120 years old... he laughed.
Walking into the Rose and thorn did not have the effect that Xepte had hoped. None of the scents or sounds brought memories. In fact, the place had changed. Since Xepte had last visited the place over seventy years ago, it had changed hands. It was no longer the Rose and thorn that he knew. The place no longer held the record for being a rascous party house. It now was a quiet and calm Inn, where the only exciting things that happened were on the holidays.
Xepte grolwed slightly in annoyance. "heh.. this place was once the most amazing spot for the younger people... we had some crazy parties in here..." A smirk came to his lips as he recalled one particular incident. "This was long ago, before I was blinded by..." he shook his head. "that isnt relavent. I am speaking of the time when I had picked a fight with one of the toughest young men in town, Crabec was his name, and he was almost as strong as a kull." Xepte paused to shake his head. "I wasn't a fool, and I knew I wouldnt have a chance against him. But he had drunkenly tried to assualt my fiance, and i was honor bound to defend her. Also, I was extremely angry. But..." Xepte was cut off by the clerk, who greeted them with the most pompous comment Xepte had ever heard. "Umm... I think you two made a wrong turn... this establishment is for-" the man cast a wary eye over Xepte and Nienna before continuing. "...those with money..." Xeptewould have ignored the man if there hadnt been any more comments, but the fool hadnt said enough. Snickering, the clerk continued. "What, are you deaf as well as blind, beggar? I said that this place isnt for your type."
At that, Xepte whirled on the clerk, glaring. Unfortunately, the strip of cloth prevented his glare from being effective. Nienna, can you take care of this? I can pay, but if i open my mouth, I will destroy this man... he has struk a deep chord...

"Excuse me sir..." said Nienna, stepping between Xept and the clerk. "I believe you have misjudged us."
Nienna produced a small bag of coins from her pocket, and dropped a few into her hand. The clerk didn't back off. Instead, he stepped toward Nienna pushing her slightly.
"Is this not enough? If not, this place is way over priced...."
Nienna began to back-peddle, not wanting to fight the man that was much larger than she. His breath smelled fowl as he approached her.
"Sir. Stop now." ordered Nienna, as her hand grasp the dagger in her belt. She didn't plan to hurt the man, just fend him off.
"What are you gonna do, little one?"
Nienna, pulled the dagger, and pointed it at the clerk. "We have money. Give us entry." her voice was strict, and threatening.
The clerk glared at the knife, and back at Nienna, then over to Xept.

Xepte, watching the man advance, raised his left hand, the one that was covered by a knuckle length glove. "Brisngr" His hand lit up with a silver flame, and he looked at the clerk. "I advise you to stand down, my knowledge of the ancient language probably surpasses that of any human you have ever known, and yes, I can see you perfectly. So dont anger me, as it may jus tbe the last thing you ever do."
Xepte released his focus, and the flame dissapeared. The clerk, between Xepte's Magic and Nienna's dagger, knew he didnt have a chance. "Well I guess you can enter...you do have enough money after all. Xepte nodded, but didnt reply. The clerk grabbed the keys, a sly smile on his face. "However, If you can claim to be able to watch my movements, then catch! Xepte stood still, knowing full well that the man would have done something like that, and as the clerk threw the keys, he mentally tracked them, reaching out and grabbing them with relative ease.
"Thank you, sir. We will not be a nusciance, I can assure you that." With a jerk of his head, he signaled for Nienna to follow him. He didnt want to be near the clerk for more time than nessescary. "let's go and check out the room, see if it is worth the money."
